About
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions awarded a contract to Aeroglobe (Above Photography Pty Ltd) for aerial survey services to acquire geo-referenced digital imagery for identification of marine fauna in the Mid-west (Shark Bay) and Pilbara (Exmouth) regions.
The imagery must be of sufficient quality to differentiate between morphologically similar marine fauna species.
The survey was planned for the period between 5th June and 7th July.
This contract supports conservation efforts by using aerial imagery to monitor marine biodiversity, a method increasingly used for non-invasive species identification.
