About

Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure awarded a contract to Arkahna (Arkahna Pty Ltd) for the delivery of two projects to enhance the AI-powered chatbot implemented on the Transport WA website.

The contract covered enhancements to the Azure-hosted chatbot known as T-Bot, operating in a Provisioned Throughput Unit (PTU) environment to access GPT5.x for the AI search engine.

The scope included a chat interface that accepted user prompts and returned responses from an index built on the public-facing Transport WA website; a portal to manage configuration changes to the chatbot; an analytics dashboard and engine that aggregated daily user prompts and responses and produced analytics for the transport team; and internal components including a PII service for data privacy and a system prompt list intended to improve user experience and prevent the chatbot from answering certain sensitive topics.
