Moira Shire Council awarded a contract to Rich River Asphalt Pty Ltd for asphalt overlay works on Dillon Street, Cobram.

The scope included profiling and removal of approximately 260 sq.m.

of pavement at 50mm depth and 832 sq.m.

at 20mm depth, transport of profilings to Council's Stacksite at Gemmell Street, application of tack coat, supply and laying of approximately 30 tonnes of 14mm C320 asphalt base layer at 50mm depth over 260 sq.m., and supply and laying of approximately 300 tonnes of 7mm Gap Graded C320 asphalt wearing course at 30mm depth over 4112 sq.m.

The contract also covered traffic management as per the Road Management Act 2004 Code of Practice, provision of two variable message boards for 7 days prior to works, and liaison with adjoining businesses.

Work was conducted over a weekend due to Dillon Street being a main link for commercial and industrial businesses.
