About
(inactive) Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation awarded a contract to Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd for an updated assessment of the public and commercial value and viability of a hydrogen pipeline between the Maitland Strategic Industrial Area (SIA) and the Burrup SIA, as well as a similar scale alternative ammonia pipeline.
The assessment includes recommendations on size, start and termination points, alignment, preferred commercial model, governance arrangements, funding, and financing approaches for both pipeline options, and a recommendation on which option should be progressed for Part A of the Pilbara Hydrogen Hub.
This contract reflects the growing focus on hydrogen infrastructure in Western Australia, with Aurecon being a key engineering consultancy in energy projects.
