About
Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Cats & Oaks Joint Venture Pty Ltd for minor modification and remediation works to improve functionality of metropolitan rail stations and achieve compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002.
The contract covered designed minor modification works to three Midland line stations (Separable Portion 1: Meltham, Ashfield, Guildford) and included provisions for Optional Works at a further 18 train stations (Separable Portions 2–7) which were not priced at the time of award.
The works were intended to deliver accessibility upgrades and remedial modifications across the metropolitan rail network.
The contract was structured with a priced initial separable portion for three stations and unpriced optional separable portions for up to 18 additional stations, enabling staged delivery of DDA/DSAPT compliance works.
