Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources awarded a contract to Atlas Geophysics for ground gravity data acquisition in northwest Tasmania during the 2012–2013 financial year to improve regional gravity coverage by infilling existing gaps.
The work was scoped to acquire gravity measurements with access by vehicle along public roads, on private property and by foot.
Station spacing was nominally 1 kilometre on 2‑wheel‑drive standard roads and nominally 500 metres where access was poorer.
