About

Main Roads Western Australia awarded a contract to Fulton Hogan (Fulton Hogan Industries Pty Ltd) for the construction of the Great Eastern Highway upgrade between Walgoolan and Southern Cross, covering Package 3 – SLK 302.20 to 306.65, Package 6 – SLK 335.20 to 339.80 and Package 8A – SLK 340.86 to 343.27.

The contract was Commonwealth funded and required compliance with the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme established by the Building and Construction (Improving Productivity) Act 2016; persons contracted to undertake the building work were required to be accredited under that Scheme at the time of tender closing and while the building work was being carried out.

Tenderers proposing joint venture bids were required to review additional requirements under Section 26(1)(f) of the Fair Work (Building Industry – Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2016 as outlined by the Federal Safety Commission.
