Construction of Inclusive Playspace at Craigieburn ANZAC Park (Livvi's Place)

About

Hume City Council awarded a contract to Jmac Constructions for the construction of an inclusive playspace at Craigieburn ANZAC Park, to be known as Livvi's Place.

The project is a partnership between Hume City Council and the Touched by Olivia Foundation, supported by funding from the Victorian Government, local business sponsorship, and community fundraising.

The playspace is part of the broader $48.5 million Craigieburn ANZAC Park development, which spans over 12 hectares and includes a regional aquatic and leisure centre, regional athletics facility, war memorial, event space, pathways, car parking, and landscaping.

Local school children and the community were engaged in the design process and painted tiles for installation in the playspace.

Insight

This contract reflects the growing trend of inclusive, community-driven playspace projects that require specialized construction expertise and multi-stakeholder collaboration, with Jmac Constructions selected to deliver within a larger council-led precinct development.
