The contract formed part of the Adelaide Hills Productivity and Road Safety (AHPRS) Program, a $150 million initiative jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian governments.
The scope included shoulder widening to achieve a minimum 3 m lane width, pavement rehabilitation, safety barrier upgrades and road delineation to deliver a range of road-safety improvements and increased fire resilience for the Adelaide Hills road corridor.
The award to an established roadworks contractor aligned with the AHPRS program’s emphasis on targeted road-safety and fire-resilience works, reflecting procurement of specialist civil contractors to deliver corridor-level rehabilitation and safety upgrades.
