Murrindindi Shire Council awarded a contract to M.
TUCKER & SONS PTY LTD for culvert remediation works on Spring Creek Road.
The scope included Part A: relining a 1050 RCP at CH 4960 using environmentally friendly, low-shrink grout injected from boreholes on the road shoulder to fill gaps around existing pipes, installing a fibreglass reinforced pipe liner set in place by the grout, and including some topsoil and rock beaching at the outlet.
Part B: removing a failed 1200 RCP culvert structure at CH 13910 and replacing it with recycled Box Culverts supplied by Council in a two-cell 1200x900 RCBC arrangement, with rock beaching works at the outlet.
This contract reflects a focus on sustainable infrastructure maintenance through relining and use of recycled materials, typical for rural councils managing aging drainage assets.
