About
Department of Education awarded a contract to Learning Partners Pty Ltd for the delivery of trade training and the specified vocational qualifications to apprentices employed in Tasmania during 2010 under the User Choice arrangements.
The award followed the Tasmanian Government's decision to progressively withdraw the restriction on access to public funding for delivery of certain qualifications and was based on invitations to suitably experienced registered training providers to deliver those qualifications to apprentices in 2010.
The contract therefore covered delivery of accredited trade qualifications to Tasmanian apprentices under the User Choice funding model.
The procurement required 'suitably experienced registered training providers', so awards were directed to providers able to demonstrate registration and capability in apprenticeship delivery under the User Choice framework.
