About
(inactive) Department of Transport awarded a contract to HASSELL for the preparation of the Westport Urban and Landscape Design Vision as part of the Westport Urban and Landscape Design Framework (ULDF).
The ULDF was composed of two components: the Urban and Landscape Design Vision (ULD Vision) and Urban and Landscape Design Plans (ULD Plans).
The contract brief scoped the ULD Vision, provided background on the Westport Program, listed minimum scope expectations for the delivery of the ULD Vision, and set out qualitative measures, benchmarks and guidance for future preparation and governance of ULD Plans.
The consultant was required to comply with the requirements of the Brief.
The agreement formalised early integration of urban and landscape design into the Westport Program, engaging a specialist design consultancy (HASSELL) to define design principles, objectives and benchmarks to guide subsequent infrastructure works.
