Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics awarded a contract to NC Electrical & Air-Conditioning Pty Ltd for the design and construction of rooftop solar panel and battery installation works at three homeland learning centres in the Yirrkala region: Garrthalala, Wulwulwuy, and Gan Gan.
The Garrthalala centre also required a battery system and storage.
This contract supports remote Indigenous communities' energy independence and aligns with Northern Territory's renewable energy targets.
