About
Department of Communities awarded a contract to Nous (Nous Group Pty Ltd) for the development of a design proposal for foundational supports (general and targeted) for children under 9 years and their families/carers.
The work involved completing a set of key activities to model a suitable Western Australian service delivery approach tailored to local contexts and communities, to progress service modelling and design for supports outside of the NDIS.
The contract supported WA’s contribution to a nationally consistent approach being developed with the Commonwealth and other jurisdictions and informed WA’s position in national negotiations and preparation for commencement of foundational supports locally.
The contract was awarded to Nous, a management consultancy, reflecting government reliance on external specialist consultants to translate national disability reform objectives into jurisdictional service models and to prepare for intergovernmental negotiations and local implementation.
