(inactive) Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety awarded a contract to Tetra Tech Services (Tetra Tech Coffey Pty Ltd) for an options assessment of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) at the former Ellendale mine site in the Shire of Derby West Kimberley.

The works related to a project area that comprised two conventional open cut mining operations extending approximately 17 kilometres north–south, where mining commenced in the early 2002 period and was suspended in 2015.

The project focussed on investigating and defining closure and rehabilitation options for three TSFs across the two project sites: TSF1B/TSF1C – E9; TSF1D – E9; and TSF2A – E4.

AMP sought services to investigate and prepare documentation in accordance with the specification requirements, and the contract delivery point was the DEMIRS offices at Mineral House, 100 Plain Street, East Perth, 6004.
