About
Department for Education awarded a contract to Mount Gambier Bus Lines for the provision of free student transport under the Education Act (2019).
The contract covered accredited bus services to carry eligible primary and secondary government school students on school days, transporting students in the morning and afternoon on the Mt McIntyre/Mt Burr to Millicent High School route.
The service was funded by the Department, was free for students, required use of a suitably sized, roadworthy registered bus, and specified daily travel of 148 kms using a 45-seat bus.
