About
The Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to URS Australia (previously Systemwide Pty Ltd) for the services of a RailSys Modelling Specialist to assist in operational evaluation of the current railway network and test future service scenarios.
The scope included detailed assessment of current and future infrastructure capacity, operational reliability, rolling stock performance and requirements, as well as assessment of three other signalling systems to determine their relative improvements to capacity.
This contract reflects the PTA's focus on data-driven capacity planning and signalling upgrades to optimize network performance.
