About
Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development awarded a contract to The University of Western Australia for the establishment and operation of a Wave Energy Research Centre in Albany, Western Australia.
The centre will develop a program of research related to wave energy and associated science, funded by $3-4 million from the Royalties for Regions Fund over an initial four-year period.
