Unitywater awarded a contract to Suncoast Pipelines for the installation of a new DN225 gravity sewer at Maleny Showgrounds.
The project addressed a hydraulic deficiency identified in a DN150 sewer segment from Cedar Grove Road, through Coral Street, and across Obi Obi Creek.
The scope included the installation of various sections of DN225 uPVC SN8 and XTREME gravity sewers through open excavation and auger bore techniques, in several segments totaling 365 meters.
The existing sewer was kept operational throughout the construction process.
This contract highlights Suncoast Pipelines' expertise in complex sewer system upgrades, reinforcing their position as a preferred contractor for infrastructure improvement projects.
