About

Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment awarded a contract to ATC Williams for technical advice on the possible development of thickened and depyritised tailings at the Savage River mine, intended to assess the potential use of that material as a cover to remediate the Old Tailings Dam.

The contract supported the Savage River Rehabilitation Project (SRRP), which involved remediation of historical acid drainage sources at the Savage River mine and was a cooperative project between the Department and Grange Resources.
