About

Moira Shire Council awarded a contract to Murray Valley Piling for levee bank strengthening works in Nathalia.

The project involved installation of approximately 400 lineal metres of driven interlocking sheet piling along the centre line of the existing levee bank on the northern edge of Nathalia, commencing at Smith Street and extending easterly.

The sheet piling penetrated 2 metres into natural soil below the levee, with a maximum depth of approximately 4 metres.

Works included site securing, excavation of a shallow trench, supply and installation of sheet piling, and backfilling and site restoration.

The contractor supplied all plant, labour, and materials.
