Department of State Development awarded a contract to The University of Adelaide for the extension of services for National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) facilities, specifically the Australian National Fabrication Facility (Optofab Hub), Microscopy Australia (Adelaide Microscopy) and the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN at University of Adelaide).

The contract was intended to enhance South Australia’s capacity to undertake world-class research, support research–industry collaboration, contribute to the State’s ability to attract competitive Commonwealth Government research and innovation grant funding, and support the growth of businesses aligned to the State’s priority industry sectors that are supported by the Commonwealth and located in South Australia.
