Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Ernst & Young Western Australia (Ernst & Young) for project risk management support, including facilitating risk and issues workshops and documenting preliminary risk and issue registers for METRONET Phase 1 projects (New Midland Station and Bellevue Rail Extension, Morley-Ellenbrook Rail, New Karnup Station, Byford Rail Extension, Level Crossing Removals) by 27 April 2018, with subsequent upload to the METRONET Risk Management System.
The contract also included program/project scheduling support for developing the METRONET Master Program Schedule and project schedules over an initial 8-week sprint.
This contract reflects the use of external consultants for specialized risk management and scheduling support in large-scale public transport infrastructure programs, a common practice to supplement in-house capabilities.
