About
Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to West Australian Alternative Energy (Green To GO Pty Ltd) for the provision and installation of four 307.2 kWh / 150 kW storage batteries at Joondalup Bus Depot.
The batteries capture surplus electricity from an existing 100 kW solar system to power electric vehicle charging stations, supporting an electric bus trial.
The system can also supply electricity to the depot administration building at the Authority's discretion.
This contract supports the transition to electric public transport by integrating renewable energy storage, a key step for reducing operational emissions.
