About

Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts awarded a contract to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu for internal audit services to assess the adequacy of major operational systems and programs and to monitor management of identified strategic and operational risk.

The contractor annually reviewed and managed the update of Tourism Tasmania's strategic and operational risk profile and presented recommendations in the form of an annual program of control, compliance and productivity reviews to be conducted.

The contractor undertook control and compliance testing of financial, human resource, management and other systems and provided recommendations for improvement; assessed progress in implementing agreed risk mitigation plans identified as part of the risk profile review; and carried out other specific projects, including productivity reviews, as required or added to the annual program.
