Department of Justice awarded a contract to Sidac Pty Ltd for repairs, regular maintenance and breakdown call-out services for the pasteuriser plant and milk packaging machines at Karnet Prison Farm.

The contract covered repairs to the pasteuriser plant and milk packaging machines; regular maintenance; supply and replacement of spare parts to match existing equipment; provision of breakdown call-out services; retrofit and upgrade of pasteuriser plant and milk packaging machines where required; external support via telephone and remote access; programming of PLCs to manage startup, pasteurising and cleaning processes; ensuring software was current and electronic equipment was compatible with that software; ensuring calibrated equipment complied with food safety requirements; supply and installation of new and replacement plant and equipment; coverage of any associated software licensing fees; external access monitoring of system data to identify faults; and provision of training and consulting.
