About

Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to F & J BITUMEN SERVICES PTY LTD for reconstruction patching and repairs to bituminous pavement on Ch 189 Stuart Highway due to a disaster event.

The works comprised reconstruction patching measured in square metres for a specified 50 mm thickness and asphalt type, inclusive of cold milling, supply and installation of asphalt (labour and plant), excavating material and disposal, and maintenance of daily logbook sheets.

Two repair sections were specified (Section 1: 50 m x 9 m; Section 2: 15 m x 4 m).

All repaired works were required to be verified by date- and time-stamped pre- and post-maintenance images with GPS location.

Mobilisation was measured separately, and traffic management (including a site-specific diagram and risk assessment) was also measured separately.
