About
Department of Health awarded a contract to Hansen Yuncken for refurbishment works to Levels 2 and 3 of J Block at Royal Hobart Hospital.
The works involved partial demolition and new fit out of areas and rooms on both levels, upgrading existing non-medical inpatient bedrooms to medical inpatient standard through installation of medical services panels, essential power outlets, medical gases, cardiac protection Residual Current Devices (RCDs), and modifications to ensuites.
Works to both floors were undertaken simultaneously.
This contract reflects ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure, with Hansen Yuncken being a major contractor in Tasmanian health projects.
