About
North Metropolitan Health Service awarded a contract to Ascent Fire Pty Ltd for remediation of fire wall penetrations in DD & B blocks.
The works involved sealing multiple cable/tray, pipe and duct penetrations shown on the attachments/marked drawings using a combination of Bulkhead batt system, intumescent mastic, fire wrap and fire collars as required.
All penetrations were to be sealed in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and Australian standards AS4072.1 and AS1530.4.
Repaired penetrations were to be labelled and photographed, and a report of the labelled photographic records was to be provided.
The specification emphasised compliance with AS4072.1 and AS1530.4 and required labelled photographic reporting, indicating a priority on regulatory-compliant passive fire protection and documented evidence of remediation in a healthcare facility.
