The contract specifically included slashing of Victoria Highway from the Buntine Highway intersection to the NT/WA border and slashing of the entirety of Buntine Highway.
The contract's multi-year duration and combined pavement and vegetation scope emphasized sustained asset preservation and therefore aligned with suppliers able to provide earthworks/gravel re-sheeting and large-scale vegetation management capability.
