Programmed Facility Management awarded a contract to NewGround Facilities Management Pty Ltd for replacement of an existing bore and design and installation of a new bore at SMT Thornlie Campus, 44 Burslem Drive, Thornlie WA 6108, on behalf of the Department of Finance and the Department of Training and Workforce Development.
The scope included bore design and construction in accordance with Australian Standards, the Minimum Construction Requirements for Borehole Construction and the NCC; service scanning and a dilapidation report; decommissioning of the existing bore; supply and installation of a new pump and pump discharge column; new bore headworks including borehead plate, connection boxes, test tee, check valve, isolation valve, flow restrictor, flowmeter and recirculation facility; connections to the existing electrical and irrigation mainline; and testing and commissioning on completion.
All materials and installation were required to comply with the specified standards and contract documentation.
The contract combined design, construction, decommissioning and services integration, indicating delivery requirements for end-to-end borehole works and strict compliance with Australian construction and borehole standards.
