About

Western Australia Police Force awarded a contract to Warsash Scientific Pty Ltd for the supply and delivery of TruNarc handheld Raman spectroscopy narcotics analyser devices to support the Serious and Organised Crime Division.

The devices were required to be reliable, highly accurate and lab-proven, and capable of performing rapid single-test field identification across a broad spectrum of illegal substances including narcotics, stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, analgesics, and multiple fentanyl derivatives (including carfentanil and acryl fentanyl), fentanyl precursors NPP and ANPP, and pharmaceutical variants such as alfentanil and sufentanil.

The WA Police Force did not guarantee any volume of orders during the contract term, and supply and delivery were subject to the purchasing requirements of the WA Police Force.
