About
Department of Logistics and Infrastructure awarded a contract to Bluedust Solutions Pty Ltd as The Trustee for Bluedust Unit Trust for the supply, delivery and installation of new playground equipment and a solid shade structure at Borroloola School, approximately 660 km south/east of Katherine.
The works included removal of existing playground equipment, rubber soft-fall and sections of associated bike path; supply and installation of the selected play equipment; design and construction of the drainage system and creek system within the playground area; supply and installation of soft-fall sand within the existing containment barrier; and supply, construction and installation of a new solid shade structure over the playground area.
The contractor was required to obtain a Building Permit prior to commencing onsite works and an Occupancy Certificate prior to handover, engage a Certified Playground Inspector and provide the relevant inspection reports, and ensure all soft-fall surfaces were tested as required by the relevant Australian Standards.
All certificates, manuals, test results, inspection reports and permits were required to be provided to the superintendent prior to handover.
