The Analytical Services Laboratory at New Town undertook an urgent procurement to acquire a unit that was to be coupled with an existing Agilent liquid chromatography system already installed in the laboratory.
The instrument formed an integral component of ASL business operations in assessing the quality and health of water supplies across the State.
Contracts for laboratory instrumentation that must integrate with existing vendor systems often favoured the incumbent equipment manufacturer because compatibility, installation and technical support were key considerations.
