Public Transport Authority awarded a contract to Baby Zone for the supply of suitable non-tethered booster seats for the 'Orange' school bus fleet administered under the Student Transport Assistance Policy.

The contract covered booster seats that complied with the Australian Standard for Child Car Restraints AS/NZS 1754:2010 and 2013 and were compatible with the fleet's 3-point lap sash seat belt configuration.

The seats were intended for younger passengers (generally aged about 3.5 to 7 years) who could not be effectively restrained by the vehicle belt alone.

Deliveries were required to metropolitan and regional locations to equip Orange buses ranging from small (10 passenger seats) to large (57 passenger seats), including services operating for students with special needs.
