Transport for NSW (Legacy Transport Infrastructure Projects) awarded a contract to Great River City Light Rail Pty Ltd for the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 Supply, Operate and Maintain (SOM) Contract.
The contract includes the supply of Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs), design and construction of light rail systems and stops above slab, design and construction of the stabling and maintenance facility, and operation and maintenance of the light rail line.
This contract represents a major public-private partnership for light rail infrastructure in Western Sydney, with the awarded entity responsible for both construction and long-term operations.
