About
Transport for NSW (Legacy Transport Infrastructure Projects) awarded a contract to ALTRAC Light Rail Partnership for the finance, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a new light rail system for the CBD and South East Sydney, as well as the operation and maintenance of the Inner West Light Rail.
The Project Deed was entered into on 17 December 2014, with financial close on 24 February 2015, and was subsequently varied in 2019 and 2021.
This PPP model transfers long-term operational risk to the private sector, a common approach for major transport infrastructure in NSW.
