Transport for NSW (Legacy Transport Infrastructure Projects) awarded a contract to Transport for Tomorrow (Laing O'Rourke Australia Construction Pty Ltd and Kellogg Brown & Root Pty Ltd) for the Sydney Terminal Area Reconfiguration Phase 2 (STAR 2) package of works under the More Trains, More Services Stage 3A (MTMS3A) program.
The scope includes track, signalling, overhead power, and station platform modifications within the Sydney Terminal area to improve train movement efficiency to and from platforms 9 to 14 and support the deployment of the Mariyung Fleet.
The Target Outturn Cost was adjusted due to cost impacts from the Chullora Electrical Learning Centre.
