About
Power and Water Corporation awarded a contract to Sth Holdings Qld Pty Ltd as Trustee for The Heaton Family Trust for the diversion of the bore rising main and associated infrastructure, and the upgrade of the existing sewer pump station and installation of a new sewer rising main in Umbakumba, a remote Aboriginal community on Groote Eylandt.
The project aims to enable a new subdivision and provide adequately sized sewer headworks for existing and future housing.
This contract reflects ongoing infrastructure investment in remote Indigenous communities under the NT Government's policy for economic development and Aboriginal employment.
