WSP reviewed design and construction documents and provided technical input during the design, construction and commissioning stages for projects including the Low Voltage Critical Supplies (LVCS) Project, Public Transport Centre (PTC) Electrical Supply Upgrade, PTC Lift Replacement, Toodyay Pedestrian Crossing, Daglish Turnback Facility Improvements and Nowergup Depot Railcar Modification Shed (NDRMS).
The contractor supplied electrical engineering personnel to act as Project Engineer and performed LV design and delivery tasks for lighting, power supply and LV reticulation.
Scope activities included studying project documents and relevant standards and statutory requirements; representing PTA Project Delivery; reviewing and compiling pre‑construction information and identifying design gaps; reviewing the competency of the Supplier's Responsible Engineer; undertaking site inspections for compliance with the design and construction Code of Practice; and reviewing, assessing and commenting on the design deliverable matrix and design submissions to ensure assets complied with Australian and PTA standards, including the PTA Engineering Management for Projects (EM4P) Procedure and Project Requirements Specifications.
The award consolidated technical review and compliance duties with the contracted engineering resource, underscoring PTA's focus on specialist LV electrical oversight and strict adherence to Australian and internal PTA engineering standards.
