Queensland Rail is seeking a Principal Contractor to construct a new single-track railway bridge over the North Johnstone River, approximately 4 km north of Innisfail on the North Coast Line in Far North Queensland. The works replace an existing structure at approximately chainage 1597.870 km that has been in service for about 100 years and currently carries both passenger and freight operations; the replacement has been developed as an offline solution to minimise disruption to rail services and to improve constructability and safety.
