Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and appropriately licensed Principal Contractor to undertake construction of the Palm Island Indigenous and Arts Installation Precinct (Cultural Walk) on the Palm Island foreshore. The procurement is principally construct-only, based on the design and technical documentation issued with the Invitation to Tender; the Contractor will be responsible for complete construction, coordination, commissioning, certification and handover of the works, including all labour, plant, materials, supervision, subcontractors, logistics and incidental activities necessary to complete the works in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor will also be responsible for defined incidental design obligations associated with its construction methodology, temporary works, shop detailing and specialist supplier interfaces, together with any supplementary investigations or engineering.
