About

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a supplier for independent Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services for the construction of Bowen Landfill Cell 2. The Council, which owns and operates the Bowen Landfill south of Bowen in North Queensland, is expanding waste disposal capacity by constructing a new engineered landfill cell incorporating a geosynthetic barrier system and leachate collection and conveyance infrastructure. The appointed, suitably qualified and experienced CQA Consultant must provide independent third-party monitoring, inspection, verification, documentation, testing review and recommendations to the Superintendent; the CQA Consultant will not direct contractors or ensure contractor compliance, which remains the responsibility of the contractor and the Superintendent.
