About

The Bureau is seeking a supplier for demolition and site remediation at the former C-Band radar facility in the Townsville Field Training Area (TFTA). The radar tower and other major infrastructure have already been removed; remaining works include demolition and removal of the tower footing and residual infrastructure, removal of redundant services, backfilling of excavations, and reinstatement of disturbed areas. Electrical services have been isolated by Ergon Energy, and the site has been assessed with no contamination, hazardous materials or unexploded ordnance requiring management.

This could be suitable for demolition and site remediation contractors experienced with infrastructure make-good work. Key scope elements are tower footing and residual infrastructure removal, redundant services removal, excavation backfilling and site reinstatement. Note that electrical services are isolated by Ergon Energy, the site has been assessed as clear of contamination and UXO, and the works must meet Defence and relevant environmental make-good obligations.
