North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) is seeking a supplier for the design and construction of a replacement Recreational Jetty at Bowen Wharf, located off Santa Barbara Parade in Bowen, North Queensland within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. The historic Bowen Wharf, originally constructed in 1867, has reached the end of its service life and NQBP has completed concept development and community stakeholder engagement to advance a sustainable modern jetty that will provide fishing areas and shaded seating while recognising the cultural significance of the Juru people. The existing wharf is currently used for berthing tugs that service the Port of Abbot Point. Closing date: 01/Jul/2026 02:00 PM (UTC+10:00) Brisbane time.
