NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is seeking a supplier for an end-to-end mechanical upgrade solution to increase certified Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) and axle load capacity for Category 9 Toyota LandCruiser appliances in its fleet. The tender covers approximately 281 Category 9 Toyota LandCruiser appliances — approximately 271 manufactured between 2007 and 2018 and approximately 10 manufactured from 2019 onwards — with quantities indicative and subject to change as the fleet is confirmed. The NSW RFS requires a compliant, scalable and certified mechanical upgrade that can be applied across the applicable fleet, subject to individual vehicle suitability, and that provides an appropriate increase in certified GVM and axle load capacity while maintaining the safety and fitness for purpose of the vehicle and its associated systems. The program is to be delivered progressively across the fleet with overall completion targeted for December 2027.
