Tender: Integrated Disease Management and Extension for Barley Net Blotch (BNBI Program 3)

About

GRDC is seeking a capable partner to deliver BNBI Program 3, a five-year nationally focused initiative to provide regionally validated integrated management strategies and supportive tools for barley net blotches and to drive grower practice change through communication, extension, and monitoring and evaluation. Net blotches are an escalating threat costing the Australian barley industry an estimated $122 million each year through yield losses, lower grain quality and higher fungicide costs, driven by widespread planting of susceptible varieties, cereal-on-cereal practices and over-reliance on fungicides with a singular mode of action; the program sits alongside BNBI Programs 1 and 2 and a coordination capacity stream to address surveillance, genetics and management.
