NRE Tas is seeking information from the market on the feasibility, design, delivery and indicative cost of a proposed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Audit Program. Information received will inform the scope and design of any subsequent procurement process, including decisions on audit methodology, material classification, sampling, scheduling, data requirements, delivery arrangements, indicative costs and implementation timeframes. The program responds to a data gap where a large portion of MSW reported to landfill is mixed material of unknown composition not due to poor reporting but because waste is genuinely mixed at the source, predominantly in kerbside bins, and has been established by NRE Tas to better understand that material composition.
