The Australian Centre for Disease Control (Australian CDC) is seeking a supplier to operate the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry (NORDR), which captures and shares data on occupational respiratory disease in Australia under the National Occupational Respiratory Disease Registry Act 2023. The NORDR operator will undertake data validation and quality assurance checks, produce operational processes and documentation, provide helpdesk support, collect additional information from patients, and produce research projects suitable for publication in scientific journals. Prescribed medical practitioners must notify all new cases of occupational respiratory disease to NORDR within 30 days of diagnosis, and the Australian CDC is obligated to maintain the registry under the Act. The operator may subcontract parts of the work where appropriate and agreed by the Australian CDC.
