About

Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced civil contractors to undertake natural disaster reconstruction works on Palm Island, comprising sealed and unsealed road repairs, earthworks and civil drainage works. The works are anticipated to commence in 2026 and must be completed by the end of June 2027; contractors must consider the North Queensland wet season and whether the scope can be completed in 2026 or will require a second mobilisation following the 2027 wet season. Tenderers should note access to Palm Island is by barge, ferry and air services and should familiarise themselves with available transport options and local accommodation to house crews for the duration of the works.
